  • Work closely with General Managers and the central Maintenance Team to prioritise work.
  • Keep accurate records of jobs completed.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety requirements and Chestnut brand standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, including via our maintenance WhatsApp groups.
  • Be an ambassador for Chestnut’s values — be genuine, be team-focused, and have fun.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in property maintenance, ideally in hospitality or a multi-site environment.
  • A relevant trade or maintenance qualification (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or similar).
  • A problem-solver with initiative, reliability and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across our East Anglia sites.
  • Someone friendly, approachable, and proud of what they do.

What’s in it for you

We believe great people deserve great rewards. When you join Chestnut, you’ll enjoy:

  • Competitive pay, with regular reviews.
  • Mileage allowance for travel between sites.
  • Company discounts – up to 50% off food, drink and stays across all Chestnut inns and pubs.
  • Access to our team wellbeing hub, including free support, advice and counselling.
  • Career development and training to help you grow your skills.
  • A supportive, family-feel culture where your ideas and individuality are valued.
  • Team celebrations and events throughout the year.
  • And of course – the chance to work with a genuinely passionate, fun, and caring team.
